**TENAFLY ADULT SOCCER IS FOLLOWING TOWN COVID PROTOCOLS AND YOU MUST ABIDE BY THESE PROTOCOLS IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE**
The Tenafly Adult Recreational Soccer Program runs throughout the year with 4 distinct seasons(SPRING, SUMMER, FALL & WINTER) and is open to Tenafly Adult residents as well as all skill levels from beginner to advanced. This is a pick-up game format where teams are determined prior to the start of each game.
You must have 2 Tenafly Adult official jerseys to play (Orange and White), Shins Guard, Sneakers or Turf Shoes are mandatory. SOCCER CLEATS ARE WILL NOT BE ALLOWED. Those without the official uniform are required to purchase the 2 jerseys at an additional cost.
There are no refunds after the start of the first game. Each player is required to play goalkeeper at least 45 minutes per season unless they have a medical condition. We play friendly however competitive soccer games with paid referees on the field. A strict code of conduct will be enforced and rough or aggressive play is not tolerated.
The Tenafly Adult Recreational Soccer Seasons are as follows:
SPRING SEASON: 1st game starts the 1st Thursday in March with registration opening ~2 weeks prior to the 1st game
SUMMER SEASON: 1st game starts the 1st Thursday in June with registration opening ~2 weeks prior to the 1st game
FALL SEASON: 1st game starts the 1st Thursday after Labor Day in September with registration opening ~2 weeks prior to the 1st game.
Description:
The Adult Spring, Summer and Fall Soccer Seasons will be played on Thursday Nights on the Municipal Field. The sessions will run from 7:40pm to 10:00pm. We will play either a full 90 minute game of 11 v 11 with limited substitutions or two, one-hour games of 11 v 11 with no substitutions.
In addition to Thursdays we also play on Monday nights in the Tenafly Soccer cage on the corner of Riveredge Road and Tenafly Road from 7:30pm to 10:00pm. This consists of 2 one hours sessions and we play numerous 6 minutes games in a 5 v 5 format.
WINTER PROGRAM:
Adult Winter Soccer is played weather permitting on Saturday or Sunday on the Municipal Field as long as the field is not covered in snow and the temperature is above freezing. The sessions will run between 1:00pm and 4:00pm. We play either a full 90 minute game, 11 v 11, with limited substitutions, or two, one-hour, games with no subs.
This is the only season where we DO NOT play on Monday nights in the Tenafly Soccer cage on the corner of Riveredge Road and Tenafly Road.
