TENAFLY JUNIOR SOCCER LEAGUE

Our in-town soccer program, Tenafly Junior Soccer League (TJSL), is open to all Tenafly boys and girls in Kindergarten  through 8th grades.  There are no tryouts for TJSL and games are structured to guarantee that all players play at least half of each game.  

Each year more and more Tenafly children participate - Soccer, through Tenafly Junior Soccer League, is the largest participation sport in Tenafly, with nearly 1,000 Tenafly children participating in Tenafly Soccer programs including Tenafly Junior Soccer League and our Travel Soccer program, Tenafly United Soccer Club!!  

TJSL Season:  All TJSL games are played in the Fall.  The season usually begins on the first Saturday after school starts and ends on the second Sunday of November.  The actual dates for each season are announced in the registration mailing that goes out each May - see "TJSL Registration" below.  Emphasis is placed on developing soccer skills, good sportsmanship and having fun, and making new friends.  All teams are coached by volunteer Mothers and Fathers from Tenafly.

TJSL Divisions:  Information on each of the divisions is available by clicking each respective Division home page link to the left.  Some information of note:

	Divisions are based on grades.
	In the younger grades, boys and girls are grouped together.
	Open divisions are those in which girls may, if they wish, play on boys teams.

TJSL Registration:  Information for each TJSL season is mailed out in May of each year for the following Fall.  Registration is online and is requested to be completed as soon as possible.  To avoid late fees, registration must be completed by July 31st of each year for the following season.  For more information about registration, click the "Registration and Rules" link to the left.

Peewee Registration:  The Peewee Division is a SIX-WEEK soccer clinic for boys and girls ENTERING kindergarten or first grade. Summer Soccer Camp:  Prior to the beginning of each season, TJSL sponsors the TJSL Summer Soccer Camp here in Tenafly.  Registration is online and is requested to be completed as soon as possible.  For more information about registration, click the "Registration and Rules" link to the left.

Travel Soccer:  TJSL offers an additional opportunity for some Tenafly children to play on Fall and Spring travel soccer teams that compete with teams from other communities.  Click the "Tenafly United Home" link at the top of this page for more information.
